Magnesium Cone Mid/Bass

The W18E001 is a 7" mid/bass utilising a precision cast and surface treated magnesium cone and natural rubber surround, which produces tremendous bass precision and midrange detail with no sign of edge resonance.

A large magnet system helps to produce good sensitivity and transient response, whilst the copper top and bottom plates and phase plug, improve heat conduction away from the pole piece.

Heavy copper rings mounted above and below the T-shaped pole piece reduce non linear and modulation distortion and increase the overload margin.

As with all the Excel range, the W18E001 also utilises and extremely stiff and stable injection moulded metal basket, which keeps all the critical components in perfect alignment. Whilst the large windows in the basket, above and below the basket, reduce sound reflexion, air flow noise and cavity resonance to a minimum.
