Nextel Coated Paper Cone Mid/Bass

The W26FX002 is a 10" paper cone mid/bass utilising a unique Nextel coating, which produces a smooth frequency response and low distortion.  

A large magnet system with a bumped back plate, together with a very long 2" diameter high temperature voice coil allows extreme excursion with low distortion and excellent transient response. The chrome plated brass phase plug reduces compression due to temperature variations in the voice coil, increases long term power handling and eliminates resonances in the voice coil former cavity.

Heavy copper rings mounted above and below the T-shaped pole piece reduce non linear and modulation distortion and increase the overload margin.

As with all the Excel range, the W26FX002 also utilises and extremely stiff and stable injection moulded metal basket, which keeps all the critical components in perfect alignment. Whilst the large windows in the basket, above and below the basket, reduce sound reflexion, air flow noise and cavity resonance to a minimum.
